With Covid-19 cases on the rise, the government has put new guidelines in place, enforceable by law, and we must all play our part to help reduce the spread of the virus and break the chain of transmission. With infections doubling roughly every 7 days, your business MUST put certain measures in place and follow the guidelines which are mandatory for all hospitality venues, leisure and tourism services, close physical contact services and community centres.
You must request and log contact details of those visiting, and there are fines of up to £4,000 and prosecution for those venues who do not operate within the law.
We, and Environmental Health Officers from Harrow Council, are here to help and will be visiting premises to check that procedures are being followed. We will work with you to ensure that all members are compliant.
The following businesses that trade in Harrow Town Centre are now required to display the NHS Covid-19 QR code so that visitors can scan the code to check in. If they are not able to do this, you must instigate a system to log visitor contact details. These details must be stored and then securely destroyed after 21 days.
